Today, Google launched Youtube Trends, a tool to help you detect viral video vibrations (you have to watch the video). If you’re interested in viral videos, then this is a tool you’re going to love. Youtube calls it the “destination for daily insight into the zeitgeist of the world’s largest video site.”

I played around with it enough to see that it is going to be an indispensable brainstorming tool for coming up with new content ideas. You can even design a trends dashboard to focus in on local trends in your area or among a certain demographic. Another genius tool from Google, which nicely compliments their search trends tool Insights for Search.
